We are thrilled to share a major milestone in Avishai Cohen’s storied career. His highly anticipated new trio album, “Eternal Child,” will be available soon on exclusive pre-order on CD and Vinyl as of 29th April through the official Avishai Cohen shop.

Scheduled for a worldwide release on Friday, May 29th, 2026, Eternal Child marks a profound return to Avishai’s jazz roots. The album is a tribute to the late Chick Corea, the mentor who first introduced Avishai to the world stage.
|
The recording features the exceptional young talents of Itay Simhovich (piano) and Eviatar Slivnik (drums), alongside legendary guest drummer Jeff Ballard. It is a sun-drenched collection of ten tracks where “groove and melody” remain the guiding stars.

”Eternal Child is a full circle!
”It encompasses my journey starting in the 90’s when I was in NYC and met Chick Corea through a friend. At this time in NY, I also met drummer Jeff Ballard, and started my own band playing music I wrote with Jeff and other great musicians in NYC. When Chick decided to record my band and 1st album, he then created his own band, ‘Origin’, with a line up which consisted of members almost entirely from my own band. It was a great compliment to me.
Since then, I have recorded over 20 albums and never stopped. ‘Eternal Child’ reflects all of my musical endeavours and brings me to now.
