Avishai had a wonderful time in November and enjoyed being on tour over the last few weeks, bringing for the first time a performance of ‘Brightlight‘ in his home country at the Red Sea
Jazz Festival.

Followed by another sold out crowd at the infamous Olympia Paris, continued by a short stay in Lichtenstein performing and recording with his new quintet. And in the last few
days a bright ‘sunny’ tour all over South America… with the trio

Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters in France
|
Avishai Cohen has been elevated to the rank of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters on Wednesday, November 20th 2024.
|
This rare and prestigious honour, was awarded to Avishai by the French Ministry of Culture, which recognizes his accomplished career, and music distinguished by a lasting influence on the global jazz scene.
|
The ceremony took place at the TSF Jazz Radio headquarters in Paris, on Wednesday 20th November in the presence of prominent figures from the artistic and cultural world. At the request of the Minister of Culture, in France, Madame Rachida Dati, comedian and actor Gad Elmaleh had the privilege of presenting Avishai with this distinction and award.

This occasion unfolded on the eve of an exceptional sold out concert by Avishai Cohen his trio at the legendary Olympia venue in Paris, a testament to his deep and long connection with the French audience.
