Avishai Cohen and his Quintet, featuring Roni Kaspi (drums), Itay Simhovich (piano), Yuval Drabkin (saxophone), and Yonathan Voltzok (trombone) performed an intimate and exclusive Studio Live Session at the legendary Little Big Beat Studio on November 23, 2024.
|
This rare and powerful live recording release is now available exclusively as a limited print double vinyl edition – with only 500 copies available! Capturing the magic, energy, and deep musicality of the Quintet, this is a true must-have for fans, jazz lovers, and vinyl enthusiasts.

The session was recorded on 2″ analogue tape and expertly produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Little Konzett at Little Big Beat Studios in Lichtenstein.

Avishai Cohen’s Trio is joined again after several years by the 92-piece Göteborgs Symfoniker and conducted by Alexander Hanson, performing an exclusive show at the LAC Lugano, Switzerland.

Following their collaboration and recording ‘Two Roses’ in 2020. It’s good to be back to relive this music.
|
This daring encounter challenges genre conventions, enriching each piece with new nuances and symphonic intensity. Cohen’s music lends itself perfectly to this transformation, maintaining its expressive power while expanding into an orchestral dimension. The program will feature originals like “When I’m Falling” and “Song for My Brother” (where the double bass takes the lead), alongside traditional pieces such as “Morenika” and “Puncha Puncha.”
